Welcome and Vision for the Blog

Here it is, what my wife has finally talked me into: Rental Car Review.

A little background on myself.  I am a mechanical engineer and I travel about 50% of my time for work.  I do not work in the automotive industry but cars are my passion.  I chose (or the economy at the time of my graduation chose for me) to not mix business and pleasure.

Because I travel so much, I have the unique opportunity to rent a lot of cars.  I am known in my circle of friends, family, and coworkers as a gear-head/car-buff, so I frequently find myself making recommendations on the purchase of new and used cars.  I found after a few years of renting cars that more and more often I was pulling from my experience in the rentals when making recommendations.  So thats what this blog will be for all to see!

But really, in my eyes, all cars are just rentals.  It is truly rare that someone keeps a car from new until death. So in between we are all just renting them.  So not only will I be reviewing my latest rental car, but I will also be commenting on new cars that I test drive for fun, my latest used car endeavour, and any and all thoughts on the cars that I pass by on the road.
